As a children’s charity working to improve the lives of young people across the North West, Cash for Kids are always looking to support projects that have a real, lasting impact. In this video, Laura from Cash for Kids explains why the charity chose to partner with the #kNOwKnifeCrime campaign and how the collaboration is helping to create safer futures for children.

Cash for Kids recognised early on that the #kNOwKnifeCrime campaign was different — not only raising awareness of the dangers of knife crime but also actively engaging schools and young people in being part of the solution. For the charity, the campaign aligned perfectly with its mission to support children who need it most, providing both education and tangible resources to communities.

Through the partnership, funds raised are used to purchase and donate vital KnifeSavers bleed control kits and to deliver Mini Medics Emergency First Aid training sessions in schools. This ensures that young people are not only learning about the consequences of knife crime but are also equipped with the skills and tools to save a life in an emergency.

Laura highlights how inspiring it has been to see schools, teachers, and pupils take ownership of the campaign — from fundraising activities to becoming ambassadors for change. For Cash for Kids, partnering with #kNOwKnifeCrime is about more than funding equipment; it’s about helping to shape safer, more resilient communities where young people feel empowered to make positive choices.
