About the BBC Make a Difference Awards
The BBC Make a Difference Awards recognize remarkable individuals, community projects, and organizations that go above and beyond to improve the lives of others. From acts of kindness and selflessness to impactful fundraising and community initiatives, the awards shine a light on the incredible efforts of those making a difference every day.
Our Journey
Our campaign, which was launched in memory of my brother, focuses on raising awareness about the dangers of knife crime and supporting communities to take action. The campaign aims to educate young people on the risks associated with carrying knives and the importance of staying away from violence.
One of our proudest achievements has been fundraising to donate KnifeSavers bleed control kits to secondary schools across Merseyside. These kits provide vital first aid resources that can help save lives in emergencies. We’ve also partnered with organizations across the North West who directly work with young people to ensure our message reaches those who need it most.
Looking Ahead
Winning the Fundraiser of the Year Award is a tremendous milestone for #kNOwKnifeCrime, and it motivates us to keep expanding our reach. We are dedicated to continuing our efforts to place KnifeSavers kits in communities that need them the most and educating the next generation about the life-saving impact of making safe choices.
Thank you to everyone who has supported our journey so far. This award is for you, and it inspires us to continue making a difference every day.
