Merseyrail Supports KnifeSavers Bleed Control Kits to Combat Knife Crime

The KnifeSavers Bleed Control Kits, designed to help manage life-threatening bleeding, are being installed in all Merseyrail stations thanks to the efforts of the #kNOwKnifeCrime campaign and Laura Hughes, whose brother, Colin McGinty, was tragically murdered in 2001.

As part of our mission at #kNOwKnifeCrime, we work alongside KnifeSavers to raise awareness about the dangers of carrying a knife and to educate people on how to prevent fatal blood loss in the event of an injury. Merseyrail’s chief commercial officer, Suzanne Grant, expressed the organization’s commitment to “playing our part” in combating knife crime by supporting this initiative.

These Bleed Control Kits, produced by KnifeSavers, are part of a UK-wide effort to equip communities with the tools needed to respond effectively to knife-related injuries, ultimately helping to save lives.
